Funding sources

The following organisations provide research funding from small to large scale projects.

The Association of Chartered Therapists in Respiratory Care offers education support£600
The British Association of Hand Therapists offers an annual research grant to its members.Up to £20,000
The British Scoliosis Research Foundation for its research grants. These support research into scoliosis from small to large scale research.Up to £100,000
The British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine offers a number of prizes and bursaries in the field of rehabilitation.Up to £7,500

The CSP Charitable Trust is a charitable organisation supporting physiotherapy research through annual awards.

£25,000-£125,000
The Elizabeth Casson Trust aims to support occupational therapy primarily. They offer grants for CPD, Doctoral & Masters studies, conferences and international scholarships. Research funding calls are also made through the year.£150 -£100,000
The Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists has a number of levels of research awards for its members.Up to £5,000
The Private Physiotherapy Educational Foundation invites applications for its research awards. These allow new and novice researchers to conduct full, pilot or pump-priming projects on any topic relevant to physiotherapy.Up to £30,000
The Royal College of Occupational Therapists has annual research grants available for it's members. Up to £100,000
