In February 2024, Emily Wheater and Anna Myat from Wellcome led a CAHPR webinar on the funding opportunities that are available to support healthcare professionals' research careers.
They presented on the PhD Programmes for Health Professionals, and Discovery Research's Open Mode schemes: the Early Career Awards, the Career Development Awards, and the Discovery Awards. All three open-mode schemes are open to healthcare professional researchers, to apply either as individuals or, in the case of the Discovery awards, as part of a team.
