CAHPR is a partner for the Stroke Association/James Lind Alliance Stroke Priority Setting Partnership (PSP). Since the beginning of March, PSP has gathered the voices of people across the UK to find out what research can make the biggest difference to the lives of those affected by stroke.
During these unusual and worrying times, it’s worth remembering that stroke will continue to strike every five minutes in the UK. We are here for those who need us. By leading this project to identify priorities for stroke research, we continue to work towards a future where there are fewer strokes, and people affected by stroke get the help they need based on the best possible research evidence to live the best life they can.

This PSP is asking people affected by stroke alongside health & social care professionals who work in stroke for their most important unanswered questions for stroke research. This is the first step to find a list of questions research can answer to make the biggest difference to the lives of people affected by stroke. With this list, the Stroke Association can focus their efforts and influence others to fund research that can make the biggest change for people affected by stroke.
The survey closing date has been extended to the beginning of May 2020.
