NI AHPs have got together with a collective of local music artists who have recorded a message of hope to show their support in the fight against COVID-19 and help fundraising efforts for life-changing research for survivors of coronavirus COVID-19.
Clinicians have a steep learning curve to follow with regard to caring for patients who have survived the COVID-19 infection, as patients continue to experience feelings of fatigue, shortness of breath and reduced exercise tolerance for many weeks and months following infection. This research will investigate the best services for patients to help recovery in physical mental and emotional well-being.
Funds raised will help start research to develop a rehabilitation programme focused on the needs for individuals recovering from COVID-19 disease. This will be a collaborative programme between Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University and the HSC. This work will be led by Centre Director for the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility and Allied Health Professional (Physiotherapist), Prof Judy Bradley.
