Join the launch of the Allied Health Professions’ Research & Innovation Strategy, co-produced by 14 AHP associations, at the breakfast broadcast.
Health Education England (HEE) is delighted to announce the public launch of the Allied Health Professions’ Research & Innovation Strategy on 26th January 2022.
This important position statement sets out a bold strategic vision to support and accelerate the research & innovation agenda for all the Allied Health disciplines. The strategy provides a framework to drive transformational change for AHP research & innovation, specifically for enhanced visibility, reputation, influence and impact on services. The Strategy encompasses building capacity (engagement in the research & innovation environment across the wider workforce) and capability (access to research & innovation roles and career routes). It also addresses the significance of context (linking to systems, processes and infrastructure at all levels from local up to national) and culture (perceptions and expectations of professional roles in relation to research & innovation). Each of these four aspects are inter-dependent and are all essential to achieve transformational impact and sustainable change.
The strategic aims and objectives presented in this publication align directly with the priority agendas in national health, care, and wellbeing strategies. This Strategy has been developed in a co-production approach, working closely with the research leads of the 14 Allied Health professional associations, as well as a wide range of other key stakeholders including the public voice. It comprises a definitive collective national reference statement that encompasses and supports the existing research & innovation strategies of all the Allied Health professional associations.
The development of this Strategy was led by Dr Hazel Roddam FRCSLT, on behalf of Health Education England. All CAHPR member associations have been involved in the development of the strategy. Attend the virtual launch at the breakfast briefing – click on the link to register.
